Wishlist for September!

I need money, fast.

I'm slowly getting to the point that I want a job, so hurrah! After those weeks of bitterness, a little bit of optimism isn't hurting!

Wrapped in luvin'.
Saturday, August 30 2008 - 21:07
A while ago, I bought a scarf to protect myself from summer rain. I have a very tricky hairdo, so I do everything to keep it dry. Because I can't wear hoodies all the time, and umbrellas are not exactly my friends (they're heavy in my bag and they fly away all the time) so I like to have an alternative. So wrapping a scarf on your head looks silly, frizzy flippy hair does too.
I absolutely love being able to hide away in a scarf so my tassle scarf from H&M quickly became my favourite accessory. Here's some more!

Today.
Tuesday, August 26 2008 - 21:28

Non-prescription glasses: €0,25 @ Zeeman // Scarf with tassles:
€9,90 @ H&M // Top: €2,50 @ Cool Cat // Skinny jeans: €5 at Cool Cat
// Rose ring: €3 @ Ringz en Things // Necklace with heart charm:
€2,90 @ H&M Divided // Heart with flower earrings: €2,90 (in set of
3 pairs) @ H&M Divided
Even
though I need glasses I refuse to get them because I know I won't
wear them anyway. Which is complete nonsense considering the fact I
like to wear these fakes.
Oh and I wore shoes, too. Black ankle boots with a plaid inset.

Pukkelpop.
Tuesday, August 19 2008 - 13:32
Last week I decided to go to Pukkelpop, totally out of nothing. I quickly arranged things from a tent to a backpack and Saturday, I got on the frikkin train (I was almost late even, I'm never late!) and went to Kiewit to go and meet Birgit and Jasper for the first time in real life haha.
It was awesome. The weather was great though I would have loved it to be slightly cooler by day and warmer by night because I frikkin froze in the tent haha. I was also quite scared to find massive grasshoppers inside. EEK!
Anyway, here's the pictures I took with my mega lame HP Photosmart (lol not rly) M22. No optical zoom, 4x digital zoom (which is useless anyway) and a pathetic 4 megapixels.

The
Plain White T's. I was only there for 'Hey There Delilah' because
that's the Diogo and I song. I would have loved them to play
'My Only One' as well, but they only played new shit.

MGMT. It was the first time I actually saw the crowd moving haha.
They were good.

The
Dresden Dolls, I didn't know any of their songs but they were guud.
4th row and unable to move at all, haha, but that's ok.

Sigur Rós = magic.
The confetti during Gobbledigook was amazing.

I also
saw The Rones, the Wombats, a bit of the Fuck Buttons (haha) and I
was around when Bloc Party played.
It was supermegafun. <3

Outfit and update!
Tuesday, August 12 2008 - 18:53
Hurray! I went
shopping yesterday! So yeah, my Latest buy isn't up to date anymore,
and I wanted to change the Want! but I couldn't find a picture of
this scarf I wanted, and now I got the scarf haha. Okay [/ramble]
I tried on the leather skirt you can see in the Love! thingy, but
the proportions weren't right. I think H&M Divided designs for stick
figures man. I don't have an extremely tiny waist nor super fat
thighs, but I didn't fit in neither one of the two sizes I tried on.
So BOO!
I got bored the other day so I decided to roam the web for some pretty clothes and put something together.

Okay so I did cheat a little, the fringe boots are black, I photoshopped them because I couldn't find a nice pair of tan boots. I also wanted to add a nice tan bag but it became pretty full haha so just mentally picture it with the outfit.
Pictures of my newest buys soon! (I know I say that a lot but this time I mean it!)

H&M Kids' Dept.
Tuesday, August 5 2008 - 0:58
Yeah I suck at
updating, I know. Though as you might have noticed, I added a new
section to the site! Now you can choose whether or not you want to
read my rants about my own human psyche or not. Hurray!
So anyway, this will remain the ever-so-superficial main page.
On to the actual newz! I have come to share with everyone the wonderfulness of H&M's kid's department. No, you do not have to be a size 0 to fit, because, they have ACCESSORIES! And unless you have an extraordinary head/neck, these'll fit ya just fine.

Thank you H&M online for this shitty picture from hell.
This necklace is €2,90 (yeah, zomfghi much?!) and I must say I'd
only buy it for the charms and buy two seperate necklaces for the
clover and the horse shoe. (I don't like the horse so much.) And
voila, you have a nice set of themed layering necklaces!

Ok
so this might be a little small on your head.
It's €2,90 as well, and a good replacement for a more expensive tiara
if you know you'll end up drunk and losing it anyway. And, it has
Hello Kitty, that's always a good plus. (Unless we're talking about
underwear. God plz no kthnx.)
It's my birthday soon (ok not that soon) so me wantz it. Must hint
friend about it.

Last but not least, the locket necklace! (Yes, you CAN open it!) It's not on the online shop, but I'm pretty positive you'll find it in store. They're available in silver and gold (not a wacky gold like the picture, I had to edit the pic y'know) and are €2,90. Awesome for layering! I love to wear mine with the anchor necklace I got from H&M Divided (also €2,90).
So next time, don't skip the kids' department! You might just find something nice! (If it makes you feel uncomfortable walking around between a bunch of kiddos, you're buying a gift for your niece, aye!

Welcome back...
Monday, July 7 2008 - 13:37
Alrighty, seems like I'm making the title work hm? It's been a week since the last update but well, what's more important in the superficial world of fashion than writing about it? Shopping for it, exactly. And that's what I've been doing the past few days.
Also, the virusses haven't been completely erased from my computer. Sucks big time.
Now, at least something involving fashion. About a year ago I started gaining weight like crazy. This is not pro-ana propaganda, I promise. I started feeling fat and crappy about myself, but guess what? Over the past few, miserable months, I dropped the extra weight and I'm back to my non-chubby self! At least that's one positive thing I got out of my terrible relationship with the-guy-that-still-owes-me-€22.
So, welcome back, my dear denim friends. I've missed you.

I especially look forward to wearing the grey and blue ones again, I missed them a lot during the time I just couldn't squeeze in. Hurray!
PS: Pictures of shopping sprees are coming up! Just a few more things need to be photographed.

Outfit
Sunday, June 29 2008 - 22:17
I got bored so I decided to go around the internet, now that I managed to delete all nasty virusses off my computer, and make an outfit.

I also shopped like crazy yesterday. I'll go shopping again tomorrow, the day after, and probably some more in the rest of my time in Belgium, as I'm going for a short trip to Spain the 13th. I'll put up pictures (because I bought so much lovely stuff!) as soon as I get batteries for my camera again!

Charm necklaces
Monday, June 23 2008 - 20:38
As you
might have noticed already, I'm a big fan of necklaces. My current
favourites are charm necklaces, especially when layered. It all
started when I bought two necklaces on ebay which appeared to be
smaller than expected, so I decided to wear them together.
A girl can never have too much jewelry, so I picked a few favourites!

It's best to stick to a theme when layering necklaces, cause things might get a bit too thrown together (aka trying too hard) if you randomly put on necklaces. The sea, violence, music or oldskool tattoos, whatever it is, keep it classy and don't put beer glasses around your neck.

FOR
THE LOVE OF GOD, DON'T!

Floral prints and other related things.

sweetest trends this summer: floral prints and flowers in general.

I personally wouldn't wear most of these things because they're TOO cute haha. Frilly romantic chiffon tops are pretty for other people but not for me. Though the scarf, omfg gimmeehhh.

dELiA*s bikini sale
Saturday, June 14 2008 - 00:59
Cuteness alert! I was checking some online shops to contemplate on all the cutesy, unreachable things that are for sale. I stumbled upon dELiA*s (what a tacky name btw) and srsly, I'd go loco in a real life store.

Cute hmm? However sometimes, it all goes horribly wrong.

Now I don't care if this is fashion, burn it. Just do it.

New site.
Friday, June 13 2008 - 23:45
Hi. Welcome to my
blog.
The title is very accurate. I tend to forget about my sites in less
than a week and I'll return in a few months, on a boring rainy
sunday afternoon.
I'm Vicky, I'm 17 years old and I used to run Ikkerina's Pages, a
site with custom Sims 2 content. So you might already know me, haha.
I'll be graduated within two weeks (at least I hope so) and after
that, I'll start a full time job and attend sewing classes, as
I'm very into DIY but don't exactly know how to handle a sewing
machine.
Hopefully, I'll return to school in October 2009, to study Graphic
Design. You'll probably think "lol u aint gud enuff", but that's
exactly why I want to learn about it. Because I want to be better.
Anyway, besides being on the computer and DIY, I love to go shopping.
I'm not an addict, but retail therapy iz gud 4 u. So obviously, I
like pretty things. (That leads to my obsession with my hair, but
let's skip that part haha.)
I love my iPod. I'm picky with my music, but lately I try not to
limit myself to a few genres. I like rock, (post-)hardcore,
alternative, powerpop, electro... Flashbacks are awesome too. I used
to listen to everything mainstream, but since ringtone advertising I
can't hear today's mainstream music. I especially hate Timbaland.
Everything he does sounds alike and it aint gud either. [/ranting]
When I'm not listening to music, I'm watching tv. I'm currently
working on expanding my DVD collection. I'm an E.R. fan. Yes, cheesy,
I know. And yes, season 14 was awful. But man, Goran Visnjic <3 I
also love South Park, Family Guy and American Dad. Cartoons kick ass.
So, this was my little introduction. I hope I'll be able to keep
updating this blog thing.
See y'all around!
x Vicky

Prom
Saturday, June 21 2008 - 17:20
It's been a tough
week! Geography, science and history exam omgz! Yesterday was my
very last exam of secondary school! At least, I hope. I had only
slept one hour that night, and I didn't even finish studying the
entire thing until I was at the class room's door waiting for my
turn. (Oral exams y'know.) I think I did ok. I was lucky the teacher
didn't ask about my essay on Stalin, because I didn't really have
time to reread it haha.
Anyway, I got back from school and chilled a bit, then got on the
bus to the city to get shoes for prom! Cause yes, I had prom last
night. Now, it's not such a big fest as it might be in America. We
just have a meal together (THERE WAS CHOCOLATE FONDUE ZOMG!) and
dance some. I went home a bit after midnight cause I was too tired.
So this is what I wore...

Major colour clash
with the layout, I know, but the blue is the colour of my bedsheets
haha.
I had quite some compliments about my dress, even though it's not a
dress. It's simply a tube top with a skirt and belt. Fun thing is,
the entire outfit was only €28,75. I made the tube top from one of
my dad's t-shirts he never wore (he gets them from the army for free
so he has loads of them), the skirt and belt used to my mom's, the
earrings were a gift from my friend 2 years ago, and the bag I
bought in January in sale for €3,75 at H&M. I got the shoes
last-minute at C&A for €25.
It was fun really! I did drop a banana in the fondue, but the night
was awesome.
AND ZOMG GRADUATION NEXT WEEK! (Well I hope so at least haha.)

'Titanic' necklace
Saturday, June 14 2008 - 23:28
A while ago, I was
checking some Dutch jewelry webshops. I crossed fashionize.nl and
saw this silver chain necklace with a pink faceted heart. And oh, it
was love! Thing is, I'm a cheapstake and I just cannot spend €7,90
(including shipping) on a necklace, mostly because I'd barely ever wear a piece as chunky
as this one.
Some time later, I was at Claire's and saw a chunky gold chain
necklace for €1 and a thin silver necklace with a big black faceted
heart pendant for €2. As soon as I got home, I started fiddling, and
ta-daaa!
|
|
|
|
fashionize.nl, €4,95 |
DIY, €3 |
It reminds me of the necklace Rose wears in 'Titanic'
